As the owner of NVA250 since 2011, Susan Clark, PhD has supported the launch and successful expansion of over 15 start-up companies in the Reno Area. In addition to extensive business operation skills, she has over 20 years of experience in the vertical integration of multiple stakeholder groups. As a result, Susan moves easily amongst corporate, governmental, and educational stakeholders and has deep ties into the Northern Nevada community. Susan received her PhD in Biophysics from Brown University in 1987. After leaving academics in 2002, Susan began consulting on corporate environmental compliance issues throughout the US, developing successful methods to lead complex stakeholder-driven solutions. As a managing Member over the last five years, Susan has led the business operations for a large scale, sustainable, real-estate development project with contracts for over $75 Million in equity. Susan is 59 years old.
Peter Stember is a serial entrepreneur with more than ten years’ experience in bulk import and export of natural resources, agricultural commodities, and technology between Central America, Europe, and India. He specializes in securing import/export contracts from governmentapproved brokers, private entities, and banks. Peter has extensive experience in Limón-based rock quarry operations. He has sold aggregates to Van Oord and BAM International (both are Dutch-based international marine contractors) for the APM Terminal in Moín. During this time he made significant positive social impact in the area and enhanced the lives of over 300 inhabitants in Agua Zarcas, La Bomba, and Asunción. Mr. Stember also meets quarterly with the Ambassador and Minister of Commerce for China in Costa Rica to discuss potential projects. He has secured a Memorandum of Understanding with China National Huachen Energy Group Co., Ltd. to build an assembly plant for medical equipment. Peter is 50 years old.
As the owner of North America Laboratories LLC, Steve Flanagan is a serial entrepreneur that founded and manages two investment funds, with nine portfolio companies, specializing in securities compliance, syndication, corporate entity structuring and tax mitigation. He has decades of experience in strategic planning, and currently assists their portfolio companies develop, track and successfully execute their business plan. He is licensed by the state of Nevada as a real estate broker within depth knowledge of real estate development. Mr. Flanagan and is former F-4, KC-135, RF-4 and F-15 pilot, Chief of Strategy (109th AOG, USAF Pacific Air Forces), and Director of Operations - National Security Emergency Preparedness, 1st AF, Northern Command. He directed the evacuation of critical care patients in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, coordinated initial US response to the Sumatra tsunami in Indonesia, and as USAF White House liaison directed the execution of White House Air Defense plan, laydown of logistics and joint command centers for presidential visits in Asia. He earned his BS in Business from University of Nevada - Reno, MS in Personal Financial Planning from College of Financial Planning, and is a graduate of USAF Air War College. Stephen Flanagan is 61 years old.
Mark Lundquist is a seasoned corporate executive and serial entrepreneur, having founded or co-founded four companies and taken one public via IPO. He is the Founder, President and CEO of Fulcrum Edge, Inc. a boutique business advisory company specializing in strategic planning, business planning, prepping companies for investment and sale, and all aspects of operational enhancement. He is also CEO of LayStitch LLC, a design engineering and production company utilizing state-of-the-art tailored fiber placement composite manufacturing technology. He spent his corporate career in aerospace, defense, automotive, robotics, controls, and manufacturing, and held senior executive positions with Bosch, Mannesmann AG, Norgren (IMI plc), Aeroquip-Vickers, Grimes Aerospace (now Honeywell Aerospace) and Valcor Engineering, and began his career with Sundstrand Corporation (now UTC Aerospace Systems). He studied astrophysics and engineering and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Mark sits on the boards for numerous companies in aerospace, heavy equipment, and rail logistics, was an Executive Faculty Member for Wayne State University’s E2detroit entrepreneurship program, an adjunct instructor at the University of Michigan-Dearborn’s Graduate School of Management, and an MBA lecturer for Shanghai University. He is a featured speaker on entrepreneurship, venture capital, and finance. He has an aerospace product patent and previously held a Department of Defense Level 2 (Secret) security clearance. Mark was recognized by Lawrence Technological University and WWJ (CBS) radio as a “Leader & Innovator” in Michigan. Mark is 62 years old.
